Together with the tourismentrepenaur Stig Werkelin, we've built a new vacation village right next to Snäckviken, the best beach in Visby. It is only 2.5 miles (4 km) to the city wall and central Visby. You can walk or bike there along the beautiful sea front that stretches all the way up to the vacation village. During summer the area also offers a camping site, seaside restaurant, water slide, playgrounds and miniature golf course.



HISTORY This area was a harbour and a place for trading already in the 7th century. On the site there are several graves from this age and the viking age. During the 17th century this area was a fishing village for the surrounding farms. In the early 1930's the swedes started coming here during the summers and on the hill just south of Visby Strandby Snäckgärdsbadens Hotel was built as one of Swedens first real resorts.



Budget cabins Equipped for self catering and suitable for max 4 adults and 2 children. The cabin is 15sqm, have 2 bunk beds, hotplate, warm water, micro and dining furniture. Terrace with outdoor furniture and some have ocean view. Pay shower (coins) and WC in service building. The cabin also has a loft with 2 extra beds, which is suitable for children. Sheets, towels and departure cleaning is not included in the price but may be booked to an additional fee. Internet access (WLAN) at a supplement. Price per night: SEK395-795



Mobile homes Modern mobile homes for 4-6 persons with ocean view. Living room with settee, TV and dining area. Kitchen equipped with stove, fridge with freezer compartment, coffeemaker and micro. Bedroom with 2 single beds (80x190cm). Bedroom with double bed (140x190cm). Shower and WC. Terrace with outdoor furniture. Living area 35sqm. 2 extra beds suitable for children in sofa bed. Sheets, towels and final cleaning is not included in the price but may be booked to an additional fee. Pets are allowed in some mobile homes. No smoking indoors. Situated seaside or hillside. Camping Camping plots with or without electricity for tents, caravans and mobile homes. Access to shower, toilets and kitchen in service buildings. Camping plots are seaside or hillside. Quick Stop available for caravans and RPVs (check in 9 pm, check out 9 am the day after).

	On the site we have several places suitable for BBQ. It is not allowed to BBQ on the terraces of the mobile homes and cabins.

	FINDING US
	Take road 149 from Visby towards Kappelshamn and the airport. Drive by the airport and take left after 2 km (sign Visby Strandby, Kohlens Kvarn). If you go by bike, take the beautiful road by the sea from the harbour instead.
